I try not to like someone. It saves me from getting hurt. I always seem to choose the wrong person, it gets annoying, but i can’t really do anything about it. It’s really hard when i find “the one” but to that person i’m just a friend or someone that person knows. I want to be noticed, and acknowledge that i’m alive.

A few months ago, Matisyahu uploaded some cell phone shots of himself to Twitter, revealing that he had cut off his hair and beard. He claimed that the next year would be filled with “music and rebirth”.

This is Sunshine, the first single from the new album, which I can definitely say that the music is a little different from his old stuff. Also a 20+ play count in my iTunes library in less than a week would suggest that I seem to think it’s good (or at least insanely catchy) so there’s that. The album, Spark Seeker, will be released July 17 and I’m hoping that I’m going to have an album that I can annoy the hell out of my friends with this Summer… hopefully during trips to the beach or something else super chiché, like a backpack filled with sand.

I’m not asking you to pay for the stuff that I want or for the food when we go out to eat. I’m not asking you to choose me as a priority over everything and everyone else. I just want one where someone just cares for me, and you don’t hide me because I honestly want someone who’ll be proud to have me.

& if you can’t handle that, then you aren’t the one for me.

The 47-year-old, from Scotland, is able to recreate photos in amazing detail, often just using only a pencil.
